Information Security Support Analyst

The Information Security Support unit within the Office of Communications and Information Technology provides support for the County of Sacramento’s efforts to secure its information systems and facilities through the implementation of security policies and controls, planning for recovery and continuity of the County’s critical IT and communications systems, and providing information security training and compliance audits.

Radio System Maintenance Technician

Radio System Maintenance Technicians within the Office of Communications and Information Technology maintain Sacramento’s Local Government radio system and the Sacramento Regional Radio Communication System which is a radio network that provides two-way radio communications for public safety and public services agencies throughout the Sacramento County area and adjacent areas in Yolo, Solano, Placer, and El Dorado Counties.

Communications/Operations Dispatcher

Communications/Operations Dispatchers within the Office of Communications and Information Technology receive, evaluate, and respond to requests for emergency and non-emergency services by contacting or dispatching necessary medical, fire, law enforcement, or other county personnel and equipment. They operate in the County’s Communications Center which is a seven day, twenty-four hour operation.

ERP/SAP Analyst within the Office of Communications and Information Technology are responsible for the modification, configuration, and implementation of Sacramento County’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which is based on a SAP platform. ERP/SAP Analysts meet and gather business requirements from customers then translate those requirements into system deployments within the three primary ERP modules of finance, materials management, and human resources.

Systems Administrators within the Office of Communications and Information Technology are more than desktop support and user account administrators. They maintain departmental computer systems by auditing, monitoring, and resolving system errors and issues; perform backup and recovery procedures; prevent the spread of viruses; and tune and balance systems to optimize utilization and improve performance.
